*** Make sure to view this in 720 DP for a much clearer video. *** Just a short video of me while diving off New Jersey. At about 2:45, I get tangled in some line from a derelict lobster pot. These things are dangerous! They get detached from their main line and just sit on the bottom with ropes dangling and blowing in the current. When found by divers, we often check to see if its been opened up so whatever is inside can get out, otherwise its a death sentence for the fish or lobsters stuck inside. When it was all said and done, Jeremiah did find a lobster stuck inside, but it was still a death sentence for the tasty creature, because Jeremiah ate him. Anyway, unbeknown to me, as I was hovering and swimming over the lobster pot, this line tangled around my catch bag and my wreck reel. I tried cutting it, but Jeremiah, my buddy came to my aid and untangled me. You can even hear me say "thank you" through my regulator. As minor as this may look, it goes to show how easily this can happen, and if you are not prepared, or if you panic, it can be deadly. I am wearing my Liquid Image HD Video mask from Point of View Camera. I love this thing. You can see more on NJDive.com
