This video shot the week before the 100th anniversary of the loss of the Robert Kerr. The Robert Kerr famous for providing refuge to the citizens of Vancouver BC Canada in 1after the fire of 1886. The Robert Kerr Built in Quebec in 1866 was lost north of Thetis Island March 4th 1911, while under tow with a load of coal destined for Vancouver and the awaiting vessel the Empress of China. Today she sits in 10-20 meters of water a memory of the historic days of coal and shipping on Vancouver Island.
