The program takes you on a tropical adventure to dive the wrecks of Chuuk and the reefs of Palau. These are two of the most exciting dive destinations in the world. In Chuuk Lagoon you'll see ships, planes, tanks, torpedoes, gas masks, and more. Dive sites shown on this disk in Chuuk include the Fujikawa Maru, Sankisan Maru, Heian Maru, Pizion Reef, Hoyo Maru, Hoki Maru, Shinkoku Maru, Unkai Maru, Fumitzuki, Nippo Maru, and Kensho Maru. Also included are scenes from the dive boat, Odyssey, and the Blue Lagoon Resort. The Chuuk program runs 34 minutes. Palau is home to perhaps the most biologically diverse reefs in the world, with fantastic visibility. Dive sites and features of a Taste of Palau include an aerial tour of the Rock Islands, story board carving, Jellyfish Lake, Siaes Tunnel, Blue Corner, Peleliu, the Ulong Channel, and a look at the marine life of Palau. The Palau program runs 19:50 minutes. The program was shot by Steve and Kristine Barsky. This is the sixth DVD video they have produced, along with their numerous books, which have been published by Hammerhead Press. Steve also produces videos, equipment and instructional manuals, and marketing materials for clients through his company, Marine Marketing and Consulting. Diving the Far Pacific: A Taste of Chuuk (Truk) and Palau is a Standard Definition Widescreen NTSC all region video shot in 16:9 format.
