Brazil Scuba Diving

Recife is another popular destination in Brazil for dives and due to airline scheduling one night here is typically mandatory for anybody who is planning on visiting Fernando De Noronha. This area features some beautiful historic scenery including forts, museums and churches. There is plenty to see here underwater as well and it is an excellent spot for wrecks. Pelagic and tropical sea life is also frequent in this area due to the Atlantic Brazilian Current.

No trip to Brazil would be complete without a visit to the Amazon River Basin. This is the only place in the world where certain endangered plants and animals may be spotted. This is arguably the world's largest and most complex basin and it is teeming with over 10,000 different varieties of plants, and over 5,000 different types of plants and birds.

Salvador, Bahia is another prime location for Brazil scuba diving that is located on All Saints Bay. Like other locations in the country, there is plenty of culture to be seen on land, but under the water is where the scenery is truly breathtaking. Bahia has the longest coastline of any other state in the country so it is perfect for all water sports. Probably the best known site in this state for diving is Cabo Artemides which is the ruins of a Greek cargo ship. In order to get the most out of your visit, be sure to choose a time between December to February.
