Palau - The best diving on the Planet?
The humble little archipelago of Palau is currently rated the 'hottest dive spot on the planet earth'. Ever since diving took off, naturalists have been picking on Palau, and duly so. The viewpoint dates back to the 60's, finding its roots with none other than the great Monsieur Jacques Yves Cousteau. While exploring the Island from his famous vessel, the Calypso, he did not hesitate to claim Palau's underwater walls and drop offs as the world's best. Whilst Blue Corner gets its fair amount of the limelight, his personal preference fell upon breathtaking Ngemelis Wall (Big Drop-off.)
An Nr: 1 ranking on the Seven Underwater Wonders list isn't something to be sneezed at, especially if it was bestowed by the renowned scientists and marine biologists of CEDAM. (Conservation, Education, Diving, Awareness and Marine-research.)
An area as of yet untouched by over-fishing and pollution, Palau's unique geological and marine interplay fuses eons of untouched little Edens, where creatures have been left in peace, to grow to their natural majestic size and rightful age.
