4 out of 5 stars Greenpeace flagship...

I worked in the BOI as a DM and later an Instructor and the Rainbow Warrior was the main attraction for our diving. I have probably dived about 100+ times on this living reef/wreck and each dive provided something new to amaze.
The dive is at a maximum of 25m and visibility is around the 10 to 15m mark. Some times if you catch it lucky it can reach up to 30m and you can view the ship from the surface before making your descent.
It's a very easy advanced dive. Straight down the permanent line that is attached to a concrete block which is about 6 or 7 meters in front of the bow. The ship is about 40m long and sat upright on open sand.
Along with the resident big eye fish and jack mackeral which live in the ship, you will find several different types of nudibranch's and a whole load of different coloured jewel anemonies which really give the name "Rainbow" an appropriate feel. I have also seen on there a leafy sea dragon. Only seen it 3 times and it soon dissapeared back into the kelp and back into hiding.
Keep a look out for crayfish in the wreckage beside the boat and also the odd school of kingfish storming past!
