Description:
The Momokawa Maru is not dived as often as Chuuk's other wrecks yet it is highly recommended . Its is 107.3 metres long and 15.2 metres wide. The ship exploded during Operation and was hit by Allied Helldivers and sank immediately. Hold one, behind the forecastle has three tail sections of a large aircraft, most likely Betty bombers. There are propeller blades (individual blades), drop tanks as well as radial airplane engines, bomber tyres and truck tyres. Compared to the Fujikawa Maru and San Francisco Maru as far as hold content goes. The second hold has four trucks, 200 litre drums, aircraft belly tanks, a plane wing, propeller blades and aircraft fuselage. The bridge can be penetrated through the port side. The funnel on top is a bit damaged and you can enter the superstructure through a door. Toward the bridge there is a large room where you can see bathrooms, fittings and floor tiles. This is definitely a dive that needs to be done more than once.Submitted by: admin on 2008-08-22 | Last Modified: 2008-11-17 | Views: 144 | Dive Site ID: 60165
