Description:
South of Fish Rock lies three huge gutters between 16 and 35m deep. The run at a 45 degree angle to the shore This is a magical spot to catch the Grey Nurse sharks in all their majesty. The set lining that hooked them was banned in 1995 and now they are properly protected. Its great to do as a drift starting at once of the moorings. The longest of the tunnels runs from the southern end of the cave to Fish Rock. There's plenty of beautiful coral to marvel over. When you turn back you may need to hang out around the ridges due to bottom time but the overhangs will keep you busy, including the long-snouted hawk fish native to only Papua New Guinea. The dive ends by following the southern wall.Submitted by: admin on 2008-08-22 | Views: 131 | Dive Site ID: 59603
