Description:
When the seas are calm this dive starts at The Pinnacle. Swim south through the gutters Over the shallow rock to where the site begins. You will immediately encounter large schools of fish and after being inundated by wonderful marine life it will be time to return to the Pinnacle and toward the western ascent portion. Keep an eye out for the admiralty anchor at 20 on the northwest of the dive, head up when your air tells you to The visibility can range anything between 40m and poor. It's can also be a cold dive but worth it. Around the northern side of the Pinnacle where the sandy patch lies at 30m a 20m swim will get you to Colorado Pass. There's a southerly current which will take you over the reef to north south running crevices at about 24. There area also some large rocks to hide from the current behind. When you reach 30 again you'll see a drop off down for several more meters , best to stay where you are now due to air until you see the northern ridge, your turning point. Ascension shouldn't take longer than 15 min and turning right at the point should get you out of the current. The ridge will lead you back to the cave and up along the wall to 5m where you can do a safety alongside Fish Rock.Submitted by: admin on 2008-08-22 | Views: 117 | Dive Site ID: 59581
