Description:

The Carrington was built in Cleveland, Ohio in 1853 and served as a bulk cargo carrier. This was a wooden vessel of 36 meters long. She was enroute with a load of pig iron from the Green Bay iron Furnace when the captaon made a wrong judgement and steered her into the Reef on the South West point of Hat Island.
