Description:
The Straits Of Mackinac was a long Coal Fired Car Ferry. She was sunk intentionally in 2003 to serve as a recreational, cultural and scientific program. Today she rests upright in 24 meters of water on a sandy bottom, and home to a large variety of marine life.Submitted by: Rynaldo on 2009-04-07 | Views: 340 | Dive Site ID: 67765

Great Penetrations Opportunities
This intentionally sunk wreck lies in 80' of water. Divers who are trained in wreck penetration techniques can view the inside of this wreck. It contains a kitchen, crew quarters, boiler room, toilets, etc. A fun dive, but don't go in the shipwreck unless you are trained to do so. A short video of the inside of the ship can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhlCxVRjJC8
