4 out of 5 stars One of the nicest places to dive in SoCal

I did my rescue class here which was great because we skipped the long swim-ins we usually had to deal with shore diving in California. We brought our own gear but there is a stand right next to the entry point you can rent from. Easiest entry ever - just down a few steps and you can drop pretty much immediately. There is a lot of kelp so tons of marine life to see. There are also a few wrecks - we swam through one but I can't remember which. There are also plaques and monuments to find so there is constantly something new to stumble upon. Also you can feed the fish - they really like frozen peas. Wear gloves though, they do get pushy.
Viz is usually pretty good. This is a nice easy site with lots of attractions for novice and experienced divers alike.
