Canada Scuba Diving

The weather in Canada can vary greatly, as is to be expected in a country of nearly 10 million square kilometres. It ranges from the sub-artic temperatures in the north of Canada, through to the more temperate climate which can be found in the south of the country. In general though, throughout the waters off Canada, you could expect to be diving in approximately 6-7 degrees C, although this may vary slightly throughout the year.

The waters off both coasts of Canada offer a rich variety of marine life, as the colder water supports the nutrients to the near 400 species of fish. Whilst Canadian diving might be best known for encounters with Humpback whales or giant octopus, there are also other amazing opportunities to consider. Diving near the plankton blooms, or swimming with seals through the giant kelp forests are experiences difficult to find elsewhere. It is experiences such as these that have seen scuba diving grow as a sport throughout Canada in recent years.
