Description:

This popular scuba dive is accessed via shore and consists of an extremely old lava tube which starts at a depth of 24 meters and leads down to a depth of 32 meters. There are various small caves located within the rock, the entrances of the caves are guarded by various fish life including grouper and trumpetfish.Other fish life in the area also includes barracudas, rays and more. The caves are home to small marine creatures called Peacock Worms which are small sand covered tube-like creatures.Nudibranches also tend to make a show on the rocks and growth around the caves, along with the colourful marine fish there are also amazing sections of colourful corals which extend across parts of the rock face. There is also a wall which is located to the South of the hole, this steep wall descends to a depth of 40 meters and has some pretty growth upon it.Another wall is located to the North West of the cave, this wall descends to a depth of 40 meters where rays patrol the ocean floor, this wall is absolutely covered in amazing colourful coral growth. There is also a cavern on this wall located at about 28 meters, this cavern is 15 meters deep and covered with sponges and other marine growth.Another option is to swim to the harbour wall area and to the pier where one can find some other marine life hiding. This dive is truely amazing and definitely recommended for the more advanced divers, while it is possible for amature scuba divers to dive here the diving would be very limited as depths here are beyond beginner level
