Located just 50 miles off the Florida coast, Bimini is one of the smaller islands in the Bahamas, in fact that island is just over 7 miles long and approximately 700 feet at its widest point. Bimini itself is in fact made up of two islands, North and South Bimini, which are separated by a single narrow channel of water.
Lying on the border of the Gulf Stream and the Grand Bahamas banks, Bimini offers some of the finest diving conditions in the Bahamas, with crystal clear waters offering superb visibility. This proximity to the Gulf Stream, and the extra nutrients that this brings in, ensure that Bimini offers a fine mix of smaller marine life and the large pelagic. Large populations of sharks and rays inhabit the waters surrounding Bimini.
