Description:

Go to Boca Catalina if you want to get away from the crowds. It's easily accessible by car or bus. TIIt is deal for kids as well as diving snorkelling and just relaxing in the sun. The water here is shallow with lots of fish. There is shading. Entry is very easy. The sandy bottom is shallow. You can swim over to where the dive boats anchor very easily. Water is only 4.5 meter deep at the reef. The best bet is to enter the water here at Boca Catalina and then swim northward towards Catalina Cove. The current moves you northward toward Catalina Cove so you can simply float slowly past the rocks, corals, sponges, and amazing fish without any effort at all. The entry at Catalina Cove is extremely difficult with the shallow water and number of rocks. Directions: Head to the North part of the island. About 500 m north of the Northern 1B 2B intersection, you'll see the beach on your left.
