Description:
A pure muck dive at its best ! As the name implies, this jetty site is situated close to an old coconut plant. Drop to a depth of 18 meters just to find large amounts of old strewn garbage. A site with a difference.Submitted by: Rynaldo on 2009-12-22 | Views: 145 | Dive Site ID: 71455

WAS the best macro dive in the Philippines
Sadly this site is currently closed to divers due to reconstruction; the pillars were scraped of all life forms to allow for strengthening. Maybe in a few years it will be back to somewhere near its former glory.
This used to be a WOW dive, with an incredible amount of life living on the pillars. Truth be told, if they allowed diving here even now it would still be a great dive with just the creatures living on the sand surrounding it - seahorses, robust ghost pipe fish, frog fish - giant, painted, clown, cockatoo wasp fish, crocodile fish, flamboyant cuttle fish, fingered dragonets, scorpion leaf fish.
Contrary to the main description, there's not that much garbage here. But whatever garbage is there, soon becomes a home for some creature.
Lets just hope it re-opens at some stage in the future.
Can be done as a shore dive or boat dive. As with all dive sites in southern Negros, you need a permit to dive here. Permits for this dive are obtain only through registered dive centres in the area, you can't just rock up and dive it.
