Felidhu Atoll (Dhaalu) Scuba Diving

Kandu diving is the norm on Felidhu, and there are strong tidal currents to be found between the majority of the islands in the atoll. These nutrient and plankton rich currents ensure that the area has regular sightings of the larger pelagics, who are drawn here for the easy pickings to be had in these currents.

There are a number of good dive sites throughout Felidhu Atoll, including Fushi Kandu and Devana Kandu, however it is widely accepted that the best diving on the Atoll is to be found at Fotteyo Kandu. Widely considered to be one of the best dive sites in the Maldives, Fotteyo Kandu is worthy of a few dives, in order to fully appreciate what this exceptional dive site has to offer. The site itself is in fact part of the fringing wall of the reef, and it is the funnelling effect of this wall that ensures there is a constant source of food being delivered into the water around the dive site. In the Fetteyo Kandu, a number of spectacular caves, overhangs and tunnels congregate to form what is breathtaking underwater scenary, even by Maldives standards!
