The largest of the islands of the Malaysian east coast, Tioman Island gained its fame as the real location for the fictional 'Bali Hai' in the Hollywood film, South Pacific. Ever since, large numbers of scuba divers, backpackers and holidaymakers have passed through this beautiful island, enjoying the rugged jungle landscape, white sand beaches and crystal clear blue waters surrounding it.
Tioman Island is located approximately 30 miles off the south east coast of Malaysia, and its close proximity to Singapore and Kuala Lumpur has made Tioman a favourite weekend diving destination for a large number of locals and experts alike.
