Description:
This site, located 18km South of Gordon's Bay, gets it name from the crosses on the cliff side. This site is great for novice divers doing a boat dive, but the shore entry is a little more tricky and only suitable for experienced divers. Enter from Buoy 20 near Rooiels, where you can jump off the point at the mouth of the gulley. The site is situated just behind the submerged shelf of rock running out to sea. Take care when swimming over the rock as there are strong currents during low tide and high swell. The most interesting part of the dive is the wall on the outer side of the submerged point, that gently slopes down to 18m. The rock is covered in red bait and colourful invertebrates. The rocky sea bed is home to colourful marine life.Submitted by: Lee on 2008-12-23 | Views: 198 | Dive Site ID: 65378
