If you are someone who enjoys Scuba diving, you may find that liveaboards offer a lot more convenience than do your other options. This way you can have a relaxing and exciting vacation without having to worry about shopping, hotel rooms, restaurants, or anything else but diving. There are plenty of different options to choose from when it comes to liveaboard diving such as cruise ships of all shapes and sizes.

In general, the larger the vessel the more luxuries that you can expect, but there are always exceptions to the rule. These ships typically travel from one site to the next at night so every day is a new adventure. There are many excellent destinations all over the world where liveaboards are possible, one of the most popular of these being the Bahamas. This area actually encompasses over 700 different islands, most of which are currently uninhabited.

A few of the more commonly visited sites include San Salvador Conception Island, Rum Cay, Cat Island, and Long Island. Another great thing about choosing this location is that the US dollar is accepted by all vendors. The next great destination for liveaboards that you should consider for your Scuba trip is the Galapagos. This area actually has some of the most pristine waters in the world. A few of the more noteworthy sights include a wide variety of life both on the land and in the sea, exotic vistas, and even unique volcanoes. Diving in the Galapagos can actually be pretty challenging in some areas, so this is not a destination that is always recommended for beginners. There are also many types of sharks including whale sharks, hammerheads, and Galapagos sharks. Another great location for liveaboards is the Northeastern Caribbean which contains a few of the most scenic islands in all of the Caribbean. Here there are plenty of options for diving as well as land access and being on a cruise ship will make all of these destinations much more accessible for you. A few of the more noteworthy islands in this area include: Saba, St. Eustatius, St. Kitts, Nevis, and St. Maarten.

One final destination for liveaboards that you may want to look into is the Turks and Caicos which is a series of islands located in the Atlantic Ocean including the West Caicos, South Caicos, and the Grand Turk. Located within 574 miles of Miami, this is an area that is easily reached from the United States. Hopefully this article has provided you with some good ideas of locations where you can experience the thrills of liveaboard diving. You will find that there is nothing like being able to rest on a ship that has all the required amenities right on board and then being able to experience the best dive locations as well.
